September 2023 is an important milestone for the staff and students of The Northwood Schools Group. It marks the culmination of a radical rebrand designed to unite its family of schools in a seamless educational journey. From co-educational prep school (Broomwood Lower), to collaborative, single-sex prep schools (Northcote and Broomwood Higher).
Uniting under an iconic new name, Broomwood, representatives of the schools have been working with The Graphic Design House for more than a year to bring their new name, look and tone of voice to their school community.
The creative had to be strong and dynamic in a highly competitive market. It had to appeal to parents with traditional expectations while also attracting ‘New London Parents’.
We were tasked with creating a new brand that combines the heritage and core values of the individual schools. To deliver an iconic visual identity that delivers a strong sense of unity, belonging and purpose, and branding that makes it easier for parents and pupils to understand the full education journey on offer.
What we delivered:
Following extensive discussions and research with stakeholders, we created a new logo by combining the existing Broomwood ‘B’ with the Northcote stag. Celebrating their heritage, it also signals their dynamic, forward-looking ethos and culture.
That culture is encapsulated in a new school motto, "To Do Your Best to Be Your Best”, which defines the ethos and values shared by the individual schools...
“Because we Believe in every girl and boy, helping them develop their unique passions and talents, because our forward-looking culture encourages pupils to Embrace change, because we strive to ensure every individual Succeeds in a culture of collaboration and Togetherness, our promise will be to inspire and equip every Broomwood pupil to #BeYourBEST”.
