Law firms by their nature are risk averse. Coffin Mew has a different mind-set. We encouraged them to explore that difference with us and take a voyage of brand discovery which could permeate through every aspect of their business and reflect their ambitions and philosophy.

The Coffin Mew team came to The Graphic Design House with the 2020 strategy. They wanted to move their newly merged company forward and show they were a bold, innovative and entrepreneurial law firm that provided legal advice to individual clients, entrepreneurs, SMEs and corporates.

Researching we discovered their distinctive name is derived from the old French word ‘coffin’ meaning weave.

We saw an opportunity for an identity that could compliment their business strategy and join the company and the client in a clear visual representation using a weave. 

Deliverables

The Graphic Design House designed a suite of assets across a variety of communications; new brand values, brand colours, typography, tone of voice, photography, illustrations and a 2020 vision map, business cards, client templates, signage, private equity brochures, customer magazines, staff photos, toolkits, presentation pack, business cards and so much more.

The results

The Coffin Mew brand transformed into a modern law firm, that treat its marketing, clients and staff somewhat differently to others in the sector. Collaboration, a willingness to challenge the norm, and a commitment to success.

Coffin Mew
